New exhibition space!

We are really excited to announce that Booths have very kindly given us space to put regular exhibitions of Garstang Heritage in their Garstang store.  These will be right at the top of the stairs as you come up to the cafe, opposite the lift and will be open to view when the store is open.

Our third exhibition is currently on display, and features the history of the Lancaster Canal in Garstang. It is sometimes called The Black and White canal, due to it carrying coal (black) and Limestone (white)
More information about the canal is in the canal section here

Our second exhibition featured memories of Garstang Victorian Festival, and ran in conjunction with the Festival.  We showed lots of photos of previous Festivals, and we are grateful to Lynn Harter, Jo Coleran and Barry Till for sharing their photos with us – their kindness is appreciated.
